Editorial Policy
The usagi Diary blog aims to provide rabbit owners with information they can read with peace of mind. We follow the policies below when writing and publishing.
Primary sources first
We prefer publicly available books, veterinary-related organizations, and academic materials as our sources. We avoid citing personal blogs, and build articles around statements that can be traced to a source. References are listed at the bottom of each article.
No definitive medical judgments
A rabbit's condition varies greatly by individual, pre-existing conditions, age, and season. Articles on this site are reference information for home observation and prevention, and do not replace veterinary care. For any concerning symptoms, please consult an exotic-animal-capable veterinarian.
On veterinary supervision
At this time, articles are written editorially based on literature research, without per-article supervision by a veterinarian. Supervised articles will be explicitly labeled with "Reviewed by: Dr. XX." Articles without this label should be read as editorial research-based summaries.
Correction policy
When an error or outdated information is identified:
1. We verify facts within 24 hours
2. Minor errors are corrected with a clear "Correction: YYYY-MM-DD" note at the top of the article
3. For material errors, we may temporarily set the article to noindex or publish an apology page
Please report corrections on X (formerly Twitter) at https://x.com/rabbits_physial.
Ads and affiliates
This site plans to participate in affiliate programs such as Amazon Associates and Rakuten Affiliate. Product introductions are based on our own research and clearly separate subjective and objective information. Article content does not change based on the presence of ads.
On UGC (user-submitted content)
We plan to launch user-submitted features such as a community gallery in the future. Web publication of submitted photos and comments will always be based on per-post explicit consent. We do not publish content involving minors, commercial misuse, or potentially harmful situations.
